A graduate of the Faculty of Medicine at the Medical University of Lublin. He completed his studies in 2003, 7 years later he was awarded the degree of doctor of medical sciences, and in 2020 habilitated doctor. From 2003 he was associated with the Clinic of General Ophthalmology in Lublin, where he was successively: resident, junior and senior assistant and assistant professor.
A specialist in the field of ophthalmology since 2011. In 2006-2007 a researcher at the Department of Experimental Ophthalmology at the Eberhard Charles University in Tübingen, Germany. Scholarship holder of the European Society of Ophthalmology, Tistou and Charlotte Kerstan Fundation Vision 2000 and the Allergan European Retina Panel.
An employee at the Department of Didactics and Simulation of the Medical University of Lublin in 2016-2017. Member of the Association of Polish Ophthalmology Surgeons. Research interests include both experimental work in the field of basic sciences and experimental ophthalmology (the use of new substances in eye therapy, study of the pathomechanisms of eye diseases), as well as clinical problems involving the anterior segment of the eyeball. He is particularly interested in corneal diseases and its therapy (including corneal transplants) and cataracts, as well as in reconstructive treatment of complicated clinical conditions resulting from eye trauma.
