Prof. Celina M. Olszak is a graduate of the Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, Faculty of Computer Science and Management. She has been associated with the University of Economics in Katowice since 1985. She received a professorship nomination from the President of the Republic of Poland in 2010. Rector of the University of Economics in Katowice from September 1, 2020.
She is an expert and auditor of the National Center for Research and Development. She was also an expert of the National Science Center Poland and T-AP Social Innovation. She was a member of the E-economy and E-services Team at the Marshal's Office in Katowice, a member of the Team for the Implementation and Monitoring of the Information Society Development Strategy of the Śląskie Voivodeship.
She is a member of many organizations and scientific societies, incl. The Committee of Organizational and Management Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Pays du Groupe De Vysegrad, Canadian Center of Science and Education, The American Research Foundation's Center for European and Middle Eastern Studies and Informing Science Institute.
